What Is a Bulka Bag?

A bulka bag (bulk bag or builder's bag) is one cubic metre of product, roughly equivalent to one tonne depending on the material. That's 40-50 standard 20kg bags' worth, delivered and laid in a single lift rather than a dozen or so trips from the car or a tipped pile on your driveway.

The easiest way to order large quantities of sand, soil, mulch or gravel in one go, be it topping up garden beds across your entire property, prepping a base for turf or paving, or simply keeping a tradie's site well stocked.

Crane Truck Delivery for Tight Access Areas

If a standard tipper truck can't reach your property, our crane trucks can. We have two crane truck services based from our Belrose yard, with 7m and 17m reach, making it possible to get your bulka bag over fences and up steep driveways into locked rear yards, rather than at the kerb and wheelbarrowed in.

This is particularly useful on steep Northern Beaches blocks in Whale Beach, Palm Beach and Avalon, or narrow North Shore streets in Mosman and Chatswood, or tight inner city and Eastern Suburbs properties from Balmain right up Vaucluse. If another supplier has advised you that they are unable to deliver to your address, give us a call before you accept this as an impossible location.

Crane placement also reduces on-site labour and potential product damage as your team won't need to re-handle each bag of soil or pallet of pavers after delivery is complete. This is a huge benefit for trade and developer jobs where time on site is a significant factor.

Bulka Bag or Loose Tip? 

A loose tipped load is good value when access is easy and you have storage and use space readily available. A bulka bag is the perfect option for restricted access, or if you'd rather have the product contained rather than a dumped heap on the nature strip. The crane is also a good option if the work site is the destination for the load. If you only have a requirement for a small top-up, our standard 20kg and 30L bagged products are often the better option, so please give us a call if you'd like assistance in choosing which product delivery method is appropriate for your job.

Ordering for Trade and Bulk Projects

Landscapers, builders and developers ordering bulka bags for multiple sites or multiple product types can set up a Trade Account for convenience and efficiency when placing orders, accessing account pricing and priority scheduling. Same Day and Next Day Delivery, 7 Days a Week

We deliver bulka bags across the Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Hills District, Inner West and out to Ryde, from Monday to Saturday 7am, and Sunday 8am. Same day and next day delivery is available on most orders, and you are always welcome to refuse delivery and collect from our yard at 190 Forest Way, Belrose.
